Split Show at Crush with Zach Searcy

Been a quiet hag but a busy one! Tomorrow I will be in a split show at Crush with fellow local artist Zach Searcy. We will have solo pieces as well as collaboration pieces. This has truly been a unique and different experience for me, but an exciting one! If you are in town, stop by! Music will be provided by Kay Walker and the MC3.

Show starts at 7pm and closes at 10pm.

Haven’t been able to update as much lately, but wanted to share with you all the poster I designed for the band Murder by Death’s show at the Pilot Light! GUZU Gallery’s Deep Cuts – 12″ Tributes to Our Music Heroes show

Finally! Tonight is the opening of GUZU Gallery’s 12″ Deep Cuts Show in Austin. For those of you that won’t be able to make the show tonight, I’d like to share with you the two pieces I worked on; “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and “Step Into the Night.” Both pieces are two color silkscreens on Wausau Royal Metallic paper. The size for each piece is 12.5″ x 12.5 ” with a edition run of 35. They are all signed and numbered.

Custom Piece

A while back I made a custom, ink piece inspired by the film “The Sting” for a friend and thought I’d share it. It took a while to finally get it done. Unfortunately, my first attempt resulted in a bottle of ink falling over the piece which further postponed being able to deliver this one. I was really happy when I finished this one, and even happier with how happy the recipient was!

So far this year has been good to me by keeping me busy! This month I have been thrilled to participate in two different gallery showings and another coming up in early March. Since I am so happy, I would love to share with you all my newest piece for Hero Complex Gallery’s “Oscar Legends” show. I was really excited when asked to participate in this show that I became incredibly eager to get started. There was so much to pick from and it made choosing a film difficult. I wanted to go with something from films’ earlier Pre-Code days, so I chose 1931′s “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” as inspiration. Titled “I’m One of the Living Dead!”, this piece is a 2 color silkscreen on 100lb Black paper at size 11.875 ” x 18″. The edition is 40 and will be available trough Hero Complex Gallery for $25. I had a blast working on this one. Hope you guys enjoy!

Gallery 1988′s Young Adult

Tonight is Gallery 1988:Melrose Young Adult show. I was really thrilled to be able to work on a piece based on R.L. Steins’ Goosebumps book “The Haunted Mask.” As a child, I was always excited to go into the school library and check out a few of these at a time. I tried to keep this piece as playful as possible and something that if I were to see as I kid, I would be attracted to. It is a 2 color silkscreen on 100lb Black French Paper. It is an edition of 40 at size 12″ x 18.” I really hope you guys enjoy my print.

Hey everyone,

Been keeping myself busy with new work for 2013! I want to share the newest image for Knoxville Horror Film Fest’s first event of the year! I present to you the flyer for “A Night of Paranormal Fun” at the Ijams Nature Center.

Was having an issue with my website, but looks like things are fixed now. Better late than never, here is the Xmas card I made for KHFF last year.

Also, I will be posting the unsold Originals and Art Prints from the First Friday show next week.
